Email van Ebay ontvangen 'We hebben uw Tax Transparency-rapport 2024 ingediend'
Yesterday I received an email from Ebay saying that they have submitted my Platform Tax Transparency report 2024 to the German tax authority.
Can someone tell me why this is and what the consequences are?
I sell on Ebay.com.
A while ago I listed about 20 items individually, so with listing fees (so without a shop on Ebay.de) on the German Ebay to see how that would go. Did the same with the English Ebay.
But in my opinion, I should pay tax on my sales to the Dutch tax authorities. I am Dutch, live in the Netherlands, items are in the Netherlands, have no German business or VAT number etc. What does the German tax authority have to do with this????
The amount that was reported to the German tax authorities is my total sales amount over 2024 from Ebay.com.
On German Ebay I only sold a few items.
I’m quite worried about this.
Ebay Support has not responded to my question to them yet.
If anyone has an answer, I’d really like to hear it. Thanks.

DAC7/PStTG does not change your tax obligations. It only addresses the question of whether eBay is obliged to report your data. The introduction of DAC7/PStTG does not change the requirement that you remain responsible for clarifying whether your eBay sales are subject to tax, and, if applicable, complying with all relevant reporting obligations that may arise from your activities on eBay. We recommend that you consult a tax advisor if you have any questions about your tax obligations.
