Rating cannot be undone
So here’s the negative review Unfortunately I can’t take any photos; otherwise I would have complained. NOT SUFFICIENTLY PACKED (padding material). Cardboard crushed right up to the items, partly open, clearly visible. But for that price, what’s there to complain about... The volume (The Adventures of Gambrinus 2) was visibly badly knocked at the top of the spine. According to the description, flawless. If it weren’t for the knocks, it would be basically like new. It’s just a shame. It’s a rarity, and was in perfect condition before it went through the post. My reply Well, I can’t do anything about the post, and then I’m also reporting a negative notice to eBay so they can remove it. I have over 1400 ratings and then to pin something like this on me, that’s the last straw. Avoid this buyer. 26 ratings says it all Today I saw that he’s again given someone a bad rating because it was supposedly not packed correctly. And what really annoys me even more. If the buyer doesn’t retract his review, I have to accept that. Okay, I may only have been here for a good 20 years, but someone like that has never come across me before. Dispatch location was Not front steps, to the right behind the house and then writing it was open, the package, really funny guy. As mentioned in the title, this is about the following issue. Can this be deleted? Honestly, I haven’t submitted any requests yet, because in the past I always kind of "lost" with that. So I’m asking directly here :)

Defective goods, unusable
What should be noted if the used item is assessed as flawless and it is not. Wanted human contact, help from eBay. Not possible. Contact the seller, who has now logged off. No longer reachable. Z. 00-7704 Stupid. First pay and at some point the goods arrive.

I sold an item that the buyer rated positively, “happy to buy again.” Now she is claiming not to have received the item. I then arranged a refund. But something doesn’t seem right!! If you supposedly haven’t received an item, you wouldn’t leave a positive review. My money (not exactly a fortune) is probably gone now, but it’s a matter of principle. It already reads like a bit of fraud, or was it just a mistake because of the long delivery time from the post office, etc.??

How should I deal with the buyer here?

Hello, I have a problem with a buyer and am asking for support. I sold a used PC for €35 plus shipping costs. Two days after delivery, the buyer left negative feedback and at the same time demanded a refund of the purchase price. Before that, he had already written to me saying that he wanted to handle a payment outside of eBay. Packaging Shipping was done in double cardboard: PC wrapped in bubble wrap, inside that an inner box, packing material all around, the whole thing in an additionally reinforced moving box as the outer box. The contents were completely fixed in place and could not move. I use this packaging method for all complete systems; so far, no shipping damage has occurred. Process The package was with the buyer for two days before the first complaint came in. It contains three points: There is supposed to be a dent on the case that was already there before shipping. On the photos in the listing, no dent is visible at this spot. The system does not start; during transport, a component probably came loose. I did not explicitly state that DDR3 ECC memory is installed, and one case screw is missing. On point 3: The Fujitsu Celsius W530 is equipped as a workstation from the factory with DDR3-UDIMM-ECC — that corresponds to the standard configuration of this model series and can be verified in the Fujitsu datasheets. The side panel of the W530 is also locked via a lever mechanism and is not screwed on; so nothing is missing there.

From the photos sent by the buyer, it is clear that the system was no longer in the condition it was delivered in at the time the pictures were taken. The bubble wrap is lying loose in the box instead of being wrapped around the case as it was when shipped. The images therefore do not show my packaging, but rather a condition after unpacking and placing the system back in. As proof of inadequate transport protection, they are therefore not suitable.

By phone, I offered the buyer to replace the power supply. He did not take me up on that. To avoid dragging the matter out any further, I then refunded him the full purchase price without the device being returned. Since then, the buyer has had both the computer and the purchase price. From my point of view, that settled the matter. However, since then the buyer has been demanding by phone and now also in writing an additional payment: either a "disposal fee" or the cost of return shipping. The calls are coming in with a conspicuous frequency. I then asked the buyer to conduct communication exclusively in writing via eBay. The sequence described apparently does not only affect my sale. A look at the feedback the buyer has left publicly shows that other sellers have experienced the same or a similar sequence Reporting the buyer seems to bring nothing since this account is older than my grandson. Do you have any other suggestion what one can do. He has already been reported and blocked, but I can already see the payment demand from this guy in my mail...

Question about the display: "Available requests for review change: 5"
Dear community, this info is all well and good, but what am I supposed to do with it? 1.) I have no reason whatsoever to have ratings changed 2.) does this 5 refer to specific ratings, or to all of them in general? 3.) does the 5 refer only to ratings given or only to ratings received? Could someone please give me an interpretation when they have the time and feel like it? Thanks and kind regards 👋

Neutral Evaluation - Removal due to Ebay regulations !?
Hello @miriam@ebay and @ all I'd like to hear your opinions on this! Background: - Received neutral feedback with the following text: Good work. Function and durability are good. - Contacted buyer - no response received - Requested change - no response received - Contacted buyer again - no response received Unfortunately, this person obviously belongs to the ever-growing group of communication refusers. ☹️ It is also quite obvious that this feedback was given "by accident" and should actually be positive - it's probably embarrassing for him (or he doesn't care) and that's why he doesn't respond. Be that as it may, eBay's policies state that feedback with incorrect content will be deleted and even if this is possibly nitpicking - it says "we remove" and not "we maybe remove". You, Miriam, take the position that feedback from buyers and sellers is treated differently! This may be handled internally by you - but it contradicts the established rules! And you yourself wrote recently: Feedback on eBay must comply with our principles. This includes, among other things, that the feedback type (positive, neutral, negative) and the accompanying comment must not be used in a contradictory or abusive manner. In the "Feedback Policy" only "feedback" is mentioned everywhere, no distinction between buyer and seller. And even where buyers and sellers are specifically mentioned, it states that feedback with obviously incorrect content is removed! So I hereby request that this feedback is removed! Some will probably say again now, why get upset over neutral feedback! To which I say the following: 1. Neutral feedback is also harmful to commercial sellers. 2. A mistake obviously happened here - why should I have to pay for it? 3. I care about eBay adhering to its own policies. Here's the last sentence from the Feedback Policy: Why does eBay have this policy? This policy helps protect the integrity of eBay's feedback system and build trust between buyers and sellers. My opinion is that consistent adherence to the rules should not only apply to us users and that trust must also be earned by eBay!

I'm supposed to leave a review for
I’m supposed to leave feedback for a seller who has never left feedback for buyers themselves. But the seller automatically gets positive feedback if I don’t leave feedback. That doesn’t seem fair to me at all. eBay rewards sellers who don’t leave feedback and distorts the seller’s feedback profile. Too bad, another pointless change from eBay. Thanks eBay..........

The situation is as follows: Last Sunday I won a motherboard at auction and paid for it immediately afterward. After I sent the seller a message, he said the shipping would still not happen, and the message still had NOT been answered by the time I left my review. I then rated as follows: Item will NOT be shipped; apparently the sale price is not as expected. Then don’t offer it as an auction! No reply to PMs. Since the item was actually supposed to arrive by tomorrow at the latest but hasn’t even been shipped yet, WITHOUT showing any reaction at all, there is a THICK, RED rating. On Thursday evening, then, a response in the form of a message from the seller: Hello XXX, thank you for the purchase. Sorry, I had completely forgotten about the items. I’ll take care of everything tomorrow. VG Alexander Then on Friday there was still no reaction by evening, and no tracking number had been provided by then either, so I opened a case: "Item not received". Today at noon I get a request to change the review with the following content: " Hello Erich, I sent you back the requested amount as a gesture of goodwill. I’d like to apologize again for the inconvenience. I would like to point out that you bought from me with binding effect and you are obliged to pay. I responded to your message within one day. Your review is completely exaggerated and inappropriate. I kindly ask you to revise this review. I will send you the corresponding request for this. Please note that you only have 10 days to process the review; after that it is no longer possible. I want to be upfront. I make an annual turnover of around 2,000 euros on eBay. Your review has a negative effect on my sales and my turnover. If you do not change the review at least to a neutral one and do not remove your accusations and false statements, then I am forced to file a lawsuit and claim corresponding damages from you. Kind regards" In short: A private seller makes €2,000 in sales a year. Well, that may be true or not, because the seller only has about 20 ratings, and one of them is my negative one. Can anyone give me a reasonable reason why I should change the review? And what exactly in my review is a false statement? And what does a private seller want with damages?

Hello! Maybe someone can bring in a staff member: Today I received a positive review with negative text from a seller. The content is completely made up: Apparently I supposedly bought stamps from the German Reich for 121 euros and then wanted to haggle the price down. In fact, I only bought BRD stamps for 45 euros (and sent the order back because a good part of the stamps was damaged - for me, that settled the matter). Since the review is a complete lie (which can easily be checked via the order number), I ask for this review to be deleted. I can only speculate, but I think the seller wanted to get back at me for the - more than justified - neutral review. And on top of that with completely made-up false claims. I did write to the seller, but he seems to have blocked me.
