Seller rated positively with negative text (which is also completely made up)
Summary: The discussion deals with a seller who is described with negative and fabricated text despite a positive rating system. There seems to be confusion or misuse in the seller’s evaluation, which may be undermining trust in the system. The participants discussed the situation, but there is no detailed information about specific solutions or outcomes.
Hello!
Maybe someone can bring in a staff member:
Today I received a positive review with negative text from a seller. The content is completely made up: Apparently I supposedly bought stamps from the German Reich for 121 euros and then wanted to haggle the price down. In fact, I only bought BRD stamps for 45 euros (and sent the order back because a good part of the stamps was damaged - for me, that settled the matter).
Since the review is a complete lie (which can easily be checked via the order number), I ask for this review to be deleted. I can only speculate, but I think the seller wanted to get back at me for the - more than justified - neutral review. And on top of that with completely made-up false claims.
I did write to the seller, but he seems to have blocked me.

·4 months agoHello @dies-und-das-das-und-dies ,
the rating given was probably intended for someone else; the seller must have made a mistake.
Nonetheless, it contradicts eBay's guidelines.

·2 months agoThis is a strange rating system if buyers can basically only be rated positively.
So positive revenge ratings have to be either commented on or a deletion requested.
That won’t work in a meaningful way either: The seller fully met my expectations that the item would not be packaged properly !
or also
With such a low item value, my suspicion was confirmed that the item would not function as described !
( If, contrary to - in addition to - the letter salad of the AI, anything legally binding was written at all. )
