Question about the display: "Available requests for review change: 5"
Dear community,
this info is all well and good, but what am I supposed to do with it?
1.) I have no reason whatsoever to have ratings changed
2.) does this 5 refer to specific ratings, or to all of them in general?
3.) does the 5 refer only to ratings given or only to ratings received?
Could someone please give me an interpretation when they have the time and feel like it?

you're calmly speaking a true word...
Every now and then, one of those candidates has landed with me too, who only thought after buying: I made a mistake / actually don't want it....
(What are you gonna do? )
I think my piece, react appropriately, agree to a cancellation request and expand my block list.
Luckily, I belong to the group that very, very rarely gets an actual complaint. In that case, you can only try to smooth things over and find an amicable solution.
We're all only human and anyone can make a mistake.
(To err is human, said the hedgehog as he got off the toilet brush 🥴)

As already written: Based on the ratings received. For this period, I now have 4, after eBay removed the wrongly neutral rating that the buyer left for me.

now I get it how it's supposed to be understood / applied.
I'm also glad that so far I've been able to meet the buyers' expectations / hopes. It helps enormously if, when listing and processing, you always mentally put yourself in the other person's position. ( The famous other perspective)
Then, as a rule, it turns out successful and positive.
But that's a different topic.

·1 week agoYes, but more than describing it accurately and in detail with a few pictures just isn't possible sometimes.
We also don't know the buyers' point of view, and there are always a few "nitpickers" who find or even make up something when they want to return the item for free. Quite a few people only think after a purchase about whether they really want or need the item and then look for ways out.

·1 week agoThis refers to your received ratings and you can request the change from the buyers - nothing more.
This only works for neutral and negative ratings.
And if you haven't had any reason to since then because you weren't rated unfairly, then that's great!
