📢 New feature: Private messages now available to everyone!
Summary: de.community.team informs the community about the introduction of a new feature that makes it possible to send and receive private messages between members. Members can adjust their privacy settings to decide who is allowed to send them messages: disabled, participants in shared events, or all community members. Instructions for adjusting the settings are included in the post, including the steps and screenshots needed to make the changes.
Dear community,
we have a new feature for you! 🎉
From now on, private messages (direct messages/DMs) can be sent & received by all logged-in community members simply by going to the respective member name.
If you want to use this feature or adjust your settings, you can find the options under:
👤 Profile → Settings & Privacy → Privacy
There you can decide for yourself who is allowed to send you direct messages:
Disabled – No direct messages can be received.
Only fellow event participants – Only people you are attending an event with can message you.
All – All logged-in community members can send you a private message.
💡 How it works:
Click your profile picture in the top right.
Select “Settings & Privacy”.
Under “Privacy” you’ll find the “Direct messages” section.
Select the desired setting and then click “Save”.
