Bid won and now suddenly paying more
I had just won an auction and wanted to pay for it right away when I suddenly noticed that 35$ had been added.
Can they just do that? Because in the end the shipping and fees are calculated on top again, which can’t be the intention or is very misleading.

·1 year agoThe $35 is the VAT. In other words, $167.50 + 21% VAT (= $35.175) = $202.675
On ebay.nl, the VAT is hidden in the item price on the invoice.
If you open the same invoice on ebay.com, the VAT is listed separately.
You’ll also discover that something doesn’t add up between ebay.nl and ebay.com.
