Problem with bank statement verification
Good day,
A few days ago, my payouts were suddenly blocked by eBay because I had to verify my bank account with a bank statement. I sent that to eBay and it was rejected because only my initials are on the bank statement and not my full name?! I immediately called my bank (Triodos Bank) and they told me that all banks in the Netherlands only use initials on a bank statement and not a full name. But eBay tells me that other people in the Netherlands don’t have this problem and can just verify? They also say that I should just open a bank account with another bank that does put a full name on a statement?! I haven’t found one yet... Is there anyone else with this problem? They keep insisting that your full name has to be on a bank statement with no exceptions. No other document such as a bank letter is possible either... I also called SNS Bank and got the same story; they also found eBay’s story strange. Is there anyone who has an idea or has a bank that shows a full name on their statements? I don’t know what else to do except leave eBay after many years for Etsy or Amazon... Thanks in advance for your help!

This page spells out the full process. Advice; print it out and follow the steps in the correct order. Note; matching the account holder's name and how you register on eBay is very important.

I’m running into the same problem too. By phone, eBay service desk is not reachable. The first time, eBay only deposited and debited one amount. Because of that, the verification failed and it switched to bank statement verification. Sent the statement 3 times and 3 times it was rejected. Even after submitting a question/complaint, they didn’t say why the statements were rejected. I hope a solution comes soon.

·1 year agoI've been working on this for days too and have the same problem. I’ve now put my initials in Ebay but they don’t accept that either. Has anyone found a solution yet?
