Has everyone moved away?

Some members who were very active here once have completely disappeared. My memory for names is very poor, but I usually still recognize people when I see their names and have already written with them. I’ve probably been on Ebay since around 2001 and was very actively involved in the community and the café and there every day. But since 2015 I’ve only ever looked in on the forum once or twice briefly at most. I’ve only been back here more often recently.
Back then, there was a lot going on in the community. There were lively discussions and there was really still an exchange happening. But that was a long time ago. We won’t get the exciting and interesting Ebay “back then” back either. It’s all pretty sad... but that was to be expected, the way things developed over the years.

I may not remember your name, even though I’ve been in the forum for many years, but it once struck me how many of the very old users/usernames are no longer active around here.
I think age also played a role there, and unfortunately COVID probably didn’t leave one or two of them untouched either.
I don’t even remember which pre-release version of this forum it was, but there was really a lot going on back then. You’re probably referring to that time.
Compared to that, it’s rather quiet here today, like a graveyard.
The new forum software that was kindly dumped on us unsolicited just recently is simply awful and is probably not exactly helping to change that.

·3 weeks agoI vaguely remember ... and yes, since the last "reworking" here, it's become confusing. And you can't write everywhere anymore either. So that's why I'm hardly ever here anymore either.
