The leaves on the trees are changing color.
On the young tree in front of the house, you can almost watch the leaves changing color.

I spent three hours today rearranging the room, tidying up, sweeping, moving stuff from left to right, etc. Apart from the fact that this damn beast peed in the collection basket of our leaf collector and chewed it up, I didn't see anything of it, but I'm not done with the matter yet

·2 weeks agoLast night the first hard frost, around 8 o'clock there were still many white patches on the meadow.
The rest of the day was bright sunshine. It's supposed to stay that way for the next few days too. Temperatures of 21° and up during the day.
@molfish good luck catching the mouse game. Just leave a trail of bait (cheese crumbs) toward the exit...

·2 weeks agoIt was 7° cool here this morning. But now we have bright sunshine at around 20°.
I still have to clear out a cellar room later because a few little mice have apparently made themselves at home there. Thank goodness not in the house but in an annex.
Let’s see whether I can drive them away.

·3 weeks agoSomehow weird, föhn-like wind and quite a lot of rain this morning, so it didn't exactly motivate me to get up. But I did get up and sorted through my mother-in-law's remaining porcelain stock indoors and listed some lots, as well as starting on her "Colorful Collection". Now I'm done for the day. ☺️ Wishing you all a good start to the new week.

We had a bit of rain around 11 p.m., but it was already over again.
Baltrum is actually completely car-free, except for the fire brigade and ambulances.
When you see the garbage collection or the suppliers driving around with their horse-drawn carts, it’s just brilliant, and the island really slows everything down.
Two more sleeps and then I’ll be there 😊

OP1 month agoToday it was stormy all day long.
Around 4 p.m. it got a bit dark and the rain came straight down, somewhere in the state of Brandenburg.
Now the clouds and the rain have passed and it's getting brighter again.
And @molfish : Baltrum is car-free.

Enjoy the air, so clear and so pure.
And if it should rain, which is rather rare, let the rain splash onto your face.
That saves water: the morning washing of the face could be skipped.

But it’s just never as warm here as in the rest of Germany.
