·5 months agoI want to bid on an article, but I only get the message "Unfortunately . . . not . . . to the USA" even though I am registered with a place of residence in Switzerland.
selina_b@ebay
Hello @pjk1,
thanks a lot for your question.
You have entered an address in the USA as your shipping address. Please change this to your Swiss address, then it should work.
Best regards

·5 months agoHello dear Ebay team,
we currently have the problem that a customer from Israel cannot order the desired item. However, Israel is included with us for these items in worldwide shipping. Israel is also not on the list of excluded countries. The customer had already bought something from us in 2024. Our last shipment to Israel was in November last year.
I had already spoken about this with Ebay customer service, but unfortunately they couldn't help us any further. We were told that the customer should contact Ebay - as if someone from Israel would call Ebay Germany...
For the affected listings, we offer delivery within the EU and to Israel and Mexico. If I switch to Mexico myself in the shipping costs table, the shipping costs are displayed for me. If I switch to Israel, it says that delivery is not available to this country.
Could someone please take a look at this. Or is there a new policy from Ebay that you are no longer allowed to ship to Israel?
Thanks.
Best regards
Stephi

Hello Stephi @feelgooddealssh, thank you very much for your message and the detailed description🙏
I first need to look into this more closely myself 🔍, as at the moment I am only aware of a restriction for shipping from the United Kingdom to the Middle East (including Israel) 🇬🇧➡️🌍
I’d be happy to check in detail whether and to what extent that is connected to your case 💪.
I’ll get back to you as soon as possible once I have more information 😊.

Hello Stephi @feelgooddealssh, I just wanted to give you a quick update: unfortunately I still haven’t received any feedback yet 😕
But I’m definitely still on it for you and will get back to you right away as soon as I have more information 🔍💪Thank you very much for your patience 🙏💛

·5 months agoDear eBay team,
Will this year's legally required cancellation button as well as the mandatory warranty label be provided by eBay itself? - Or do you have to take care of that yourself?
Thank you in advance 🙂
Best regards

Hello @sunrose_95 ,
Still in progress and there is no date yet for when it will be available.

·5 months agoHello,
about a month ago I resolved an issue with eBay customer service in which sales on my eBay account in 2024 had slightly exceeded revenue of 10,000 euros; the account was blocked until I switched it to a business account. At the same time, I transferred the account to a company registered in the Czech Republic, which is registered there as a VAT payer and at the same time as a “One-Stop-Shop.” The company therefore meets all the requirements of EU law regarding VAT, can sell in EU countries, and the VAT payments are processed correctly. I am convinced that this is what the eBay team had in mind when the “One-Stop-Shop” option can be selected in the eBay settings.
However, on 3/3/2026 the eBay customer service representative, Mr. Sohaib Mohamed, sent me a reply to my previous correspondence in which he claimed: “Since the country of registration is Germany, you must store the German VAT identification number in your account. I ask you to contact the Federal Central Tax Office in order to apply for German VAT.”
However, this demand is based on a false assumption – my company is NOT registered IN GERMANY, but in the Czech Republic.
In theory, I could have them registered for a VAT identification number in Germany, but that is very costly for me, I may risk fines, and given the usual transactions worth a few thousand euros per year, such a step makes no sense for me.
How can I get my eBay account reactivated?
miriam@ebay
Hello @orel4242 - since you are writing here about a private account, we cannot verify you and therefore cannot share any account-specific information or address your concern. However, if you tell me the name of your business account, I can make sure that our customer service takes another look at the case.
You can find all the information on the topic of VAT in Germany here and, in general, you should contact a tax advisor with questions about VAT obligations or participation in the OSS procedure.
Update 2.04.2026: Please call us again about this.
Kind regards
Miriam

·5 months agoPlease excuse the mistake, I should actually have sent the message from my blocked account. I was logged in automatically and only realized that I was sending the request as a private individual after I had already sent it.
The name of the company account is "sunnyhat98".
Thank you very much for your help.

·5 months agoAnd one more concern about a PayPal payment dispute 09-13770-50261
A purchase and/or its delivery took place on 05/11/2025
At the beginning of March 2026, the buyer contacted me saying they supposedly had not received anything. After such a long time, the matter is settled for me, and since I have tracking with delivery confirmation, I also did not offer a replacement.
The buyer then opens a payment dispute.
What really annoys me here:
I have seller protection and no influence over the payment options because Ebay controls that. So if the buyer makes a PayPal case, I don't see why I should have to deal with it. I think it's outrageous that Ebay still makes this the seller's problem. If Ebay wants to process the payment, then problems like this must not simply be dumped on the seller!
Buyer protection has long since expired, so this should no longer be my problem!
miriam@ebay
Hello @itec-systems! Thanks a lot for describing this case so thoroughly.
In general, payment disputes opened via PayPal are handled outside eBay buyer protection. This means that PayPal’s policies and deadlines apply here, not eBay’s internal deadlines. Therefore, such a case can also arise at a later point in time.
Even if eBay controls payment processing, as the seller you are still involved in the process in these cases, because PayPal resolves the matter directly between buyer and seller. The important thing here is: if you can provide valid proof of shipment with confirmed delivery, you are usually covered by the Seller Protection.
We understand that this feels like extra effort - we see your feedback on this.
Best regards
Miriam

·5 months agoPayPal clarifies between buyer and recipient of payment, and the latter is Ebay. I still think it’s absolutely unfair how Ebay handles this.
Seller or buyer protection only lasts 1 month as far as I know. I’m not going to keep every shipping receipt for half a year. That would be over 1000 pieces. Of course I don’t have those anymore, only a screenshot of the purchased label with registered mail.

·5 months agoHello,
This is about order 13-14295-61172
A monitor + Mac were sold as a set. Then a problem with the Mac came to light. It was agreed with the buyer that they should only send back the Mac and keep the monitor for now, and that the Mac would then be sent back functioning properly.
The buyer already received the new Mac last Saturday. However, there has been no response from them at all, and the return request is still open. Please close it.
selina_b@ebay
Hello @itec-systems,
thank you very much for your question. I have contacted your buyer and asked for a response. Please be patient here.
Kind regards

·5 months agoHello Selina, that's not what I wanted and, factually, it's absolutely incorrect too:
"We had already contacted you about a case in which Heidi-martina involved eBay customer service and asked for a final decision.
selina_b@ebay
@itec-systems I can understand that, but here we have to give your buyer the opportunity to respond here. That’s why I paused the case.
Please be a little patient here.
Kind regards
Selina

·5 months agoTime can also be given, but there would be no need to make a case out of it that blocks my funds. Just leave the return open and contact me from your side would have been enough.
