Hello everyone and ❤️-ly welcome to today’s eBay Q&A session!
Since we haven’t prepared a specific topic this week, we warmly invite you to ask your general questions here about buying and selling on eBay.
❗ Please make sure not to duplicate existing topics from other members. Check beforehand whether your question has already been asked.
🛠️ How the Q&A session works:
➤ One question per post
Please always ask only one question per post.
However, you can post multiple contributions with different questions – that is expressly welcome!
➤ No new posts on existing questions
Please do not post follow-up questions or reminders to existing threads such as
“I’m still waiting for a response”
“My question hasn’t been answered yet”
as a new post.
We want to keep communication clear and ask you to always stay in the existing thread so that no duplicate conversations arise.
➤ Q&A session time frame
⏰ The Q&A session is always open from 14:00 to 15:00.
After that, it will be closed for new questions.
Of course, we will continue to answer all open questions. Please understand that it may take some time – especially if we need to involve colleagues for clarification in order to give you the best possible answer.

·7 months agoHello everyone and a happy new year.
Dear @community-team@ebay , @steffi@ebay
My question today is this.
It used to be possible, if someone bought several items, even spread over 1-2 days, to combine them into one invoice yourself, why is that no longer possible?
Everyone talks about sustainability, but since I include a paper invoice with every shipment, I would then have several, unless I created my own one, which is more cumbersome for me than it needs to be.
Or is there an alternative?
Kind regards
Marc

Hello @mmstore74 ,
Buyers can only collect items via the cart and then submit the request.
If an item has already been paid for, this is no longer possible afterwards, not even right after or 1-2 days later. So you can't combine 2 orders once payment has been completed.
Best regards
Patrick

·7 months agoHello @patrick@ebay
Could you not maybe submit this as a suggestion to bring it back, because it used to be possible.
Best regards
Marc
patrick@ebay
Hello @mmstore74 ,
We can do that. I think it was many moons ago, though, even before payment processing? I’m afraid it’s due to the payment processing that this is no longer available retrospectively.
Best regards

·7 months ago@patrick@ebay , would still be nice if you could show it to me sometime; I'm no computer genius, but I think something like that should be possible for eBay.
Thanks in advance
Marc

Hello @mmstore74 ,
Sure, I just wanted to explain to you that it probably has its reasons. Also regarding buyer protection, etc., which is why 2 orders can’t be changed or adjusted afterward either; it has to happen before payment processing. 😄
Best regards

·7 months ago@patrick@ebay had understood you 😁
I also don’t understand why customers don’t just put everything in the shopping cart first and then make a payment, because that way they have to pay for each purchase individually, but well, that shouldn’t be the thing that makes it fail now and I just wanted to ask 😀
Wishing you a nice day and see you soon

·7 months agoHello @community-team@ebay happy New Year 😁
happy New Year to you too, dear @steffi@ebay 😘😘
likewise to @patrick@ebay and @miriam@ebay happy New Year.
I have a question about ratings, also in connection with newest and most relevant.
Like many others, I also have a second account and used it to sell again at the end of November for test purposes.
In the process, an automatic rating from eBay was written into my profile.
Why do I have to click the visibility of the automatic rating every time when I open or refresh the seller profile so that it appears.
That’s what the tab is set to on newest ratings.
If I look at the seller profile as oskar, the automatic rating is always visible and does not have to be clicked separately; that’s what the tab is set to on most relevant rating.
steffi@ebay
Also konkret:

·7 months agoHello @steffi@ebay
yes, that is correct so far, two screenshots
Top from the seller account's view, bottom from Oskar's view; you can also see the difference from 1316 to 1317.
Was also already a topic here in the last few days.
steffi@ebay
I understand @oskar_der_wikinger - I haven’t noticed this behavior myself so far, so I first need to ask the responsible colleagues about it 🔍.
As soon as I have feedback on this, I’ll כמובן get back here and share the info with you or all of you 💬📢

·7 months ago@steffi@ebay since I hadn’t sold anything for a while, I hadn’t really noticed it either.
The only thing is that when I open my own profile, it always shows me "newest", while when viewing other people's profiles it always shows "most relevant"
steffi@ebay
Hello @oskar_der_wikinger, I've since discussed this internally and can explain the following to you:
The behavior you described actually matches the currently intended design of the sorting.
🔹 When you open your own seller profile, the reviews are sorted by default according to the newest reviews from buyers.
👉 Automatic reviews from eBay are deliberately hidden in this view so that you can see the latest buyer reviews more quickly. These therefore have to be shown manually.
🔹 When other members view your seller profile, the sorting is set to "most relevant reviews" by default.
👉 In this view, automatic reviews from eBay are shown automatically as well.
This also explains why you:
have to manually show the automatic review every time in your own selling account
but it is immediately visible from the perspective of another account
The different display is therefore intentionally implemented that way and is not a technical error.

·7 months agoHello,
when will ebay finally get the holidays that aren't nationwide under control?
Yesterday, despite the holiday here, I had to send the package on its way so that no defect would arise. It can't be that you then have to chase ebay again to maybe get the defect deleted.
The curt response from the staff member I asked: you just have to increase the processing time! No statement that the defect can be removed without any problem.
That can't be right either, and besides, the item had already been sold & paid for, and increasing it wouldn't have helped anything.
It really shouldn't be that hard to program this correctly.
On the other hand, I had items sold on 31.12.25 and on 1.1.26, and the next working day would have been 2.1.26. However, it showed me: shipping by 5.1.26! That isn't right either!
miriam@ebay
Hi @perfect-sally! In general, January 6 (Epiphany) is automatically taken into account by the system as a public holiday for the item location Baden-Württemberg when calculating the expected delivery time. This means that this day is treated like a holiday when calculating deadlines, and the delivery time is adjusted or extended accordingly.
May I ask where you were shown that you had to ship the item yesterday? Are you referring to the automated notices? Of course we'll remove the defect for you in such cases, but it shouldn't get that far in the first place.
I'll pass along the second note about your last two orders - thanks for that!
Best regards
Miriam

·7 months ago@miriam@ebay
it was clearly shown in the listing: shipping until January 6 and also on my eBay there was again shipping within 24h as a note in red text.
Exactly, I also think it shouldn't have come to that in the first place.
And as I said before, I didn't have to ship on 2/1/26 even though that was actually the shipping date according to my details, but instead it showed shipping until 5/1/26. That actually isn't right either.
miriam@ebay
Danke @perfect-sally - ich nehme das noch mal mit, Danke für die Meldung!
Liebe Grüße
Miriam
