💬 Welcome to the general eBay Q&A session on 12/03/2025 at 2:00 PM
Hello everyone and ❤️welcome to the eBay Q&A session with the eBay Community Team & the Community Support Team .
Since we don't have a specific topic this week, please don't hesitate to ask your (general buying or selling questions, please not topics already posted by other members) here.
To help us answer your questions faster, please choose one question per post. Of course, you can write as many posts in the eBay Q&A session as you like - that's actually what we want!
The Q&A session will remain open until 3:00 p.m. After that, it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to make sure that all questions that may still be unanswered are answered - please give us a little time for that, as we often have to ask other colleagues for support to get the correct answer for you.
To post your question, click Reply in the lower right corner of this post, enter your question and click "Reply" between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The format of the eBay Q&A session mirrors the format of our community discussion forums, where all posts appear chronologically. The Community Team answers each incoming question in that order and then quotes the original question in the respective reply. This quote and the answer appear later in the chronology and thus further down.
IMPORTANT: even though we use the format of the discussion forum, the Q&A session is separate and alone only for individual members' questions and not to start a discussion - please use our discussion forum as always for that.
If you unfortunately missed the eBay Q&A session, we'd be happy if you posted your question directly in the Community, or simply waited until the next Q&A session*.
Kind regards,
Your eBay Community Team & Community Support Team

·1 year agoHello and good day,
whenever I am the highest bidder, I receive an email from eBay letting me know that I am the highest bidder.
I have already looked under the notification settings, but there I can't unsubscribe from this email from eBay.
Anyone know a solution?
I would appreciate a helpful reply.
Thank you very much!
selina_b@ebay
Hello @confide,
I asked again here, the highest bidder email cannot be turned off.
We have gladly passed on your suggestion for improvement.
Kind regards
Selina

·1 year agoHello @miriam@ebay ,
It was on 15.05.2024 back then when patrick@ebay was there when I brought up the topic of a disclaimer in this round.
On 05.06.2024, @miriam@ebay also commented on it and also tried to help by forwarding it and getting clarification - well, what can I say, so far there has still been no answer as to how this issue might possibly be resolved.
As I already wrote back then, the disclaimer in my listings is longer than the listing text itself, which does not go down particularly well with many buyers. What cannot be argued away is that there are still buyers, especially from Europe, who keep causing problems after the purchase because additional costs such as customs and import fees still apply and have to be paid before delivery by the shipping service provider. I keep referring to the text in my listings; in my view it is written clearly and unambiguously and is also constantly being adapted to the new guidelines. I am aware that reading is not everyone's thing and there will always be readers who skim from top left to bottom right.
Just so it is not forgotten, has eBay already thought about a solution for this?
miriam@ebay
Hello @murmu67! Since you can no longer reply today due to the time that has already passed, I would suggest that we address this topic again in a separate thread. Please feel free to start a new one! 🙂
Thanks and best regards

·1 year agoHello,
For more than a month now, two payouts for sold items have been on the way to me, but they’re not arriving!
What’s the problem?!
Everything was processed as it should be.
Thanks
steffi@ebay
Hello @minchertz, thank you very much for your patience. Unfortunately, I was having technical difficulties, which is why my reply was delayed. I’ll be happy to look into why the two payouts are still pending and will get back to you here as soon as I have an update.
Update 13.03.2025: We have contacted the compliance team for you and continue to ask for your patience while the compliance review is now hopefully completed as quickly as possible.

·1 year agoHello and happy holidays soon, @steffi@ebay.
If identical listings are reported, unfortunately almost nothing usually happens afterward. To give an example: search for Jungnickel and sort by highest price. Unique items (drawings, watercolors, etc.) are then offered multiple times for several thousand euros each. Reported several times, and weeks later the seller can still manipulate the search results, overload server capacity, and thereby run the risk of selling the same item twice, even though he only has one of it. Unfortunately, eBay does not prevent such duplicates already at upload, although that would be easy to do.
Thanks in advance for the help.
selina_b@ebay
Hello @olavgo13eba,
when items are reported to us, we take that seriously and the colleagues review it and work on it behind the scenes. The measures are not visible to everyone.
It is important that you select the correct reason for reporting and describe exactly what it is about in the text field.
I’ll gladly pass it on internally once again.
Kind regards
Selina

·1 year agoHello everyone,
why am I not approved for the Refurbished Program?
Top status everywhere, 100% ratings, service statistics top, and then the eBay notification says I am not approved because my metric for "not received" is too high???
At 2/381 ?! And those are also completely unjustified cases that a staff member would be happy to look into. I just don't understand it. And, as I already mentioned, I honestly can't imagine that I'm being compared with the right peer group. Especially since many buyers open unjustified cases for which, as a seller, you are absolutely not at fault, the peer group actually has to be higher.
miriam@ebay
Hello @itec-systems! Why is it that your customers open so many inquiries about items not received? It might help you to always rely on shipping products with fully traceable tracking and to store this directly with eBay? Then your customers can’t open premature cases for items not received either.
Update 18.03.2025: Since your values now meet the requirements again, we have gladly reactivated you for Refurbished and also informed you about this by email 🙂.
Best regards
Miriam

Hello @schladitz and thanks for your suggestion! We’ll gladly take your request on board again. I can see that we already discussed this with you here almost a year ago here.
Even though I personally consider your suggestion very valuable, I unfortunately can’t assure you that we’ll be able to implement it that way. Have you already passed on your feedback via the feedback button ?
Best regards
Miriam

·1 year agoYes, sure, the topic isn't new. I'm just surprised that so little pressure is coming from the customers. The solution would be so simple. They would just need to rearrange the existing data fields on the forms. That's all I want to achieve. It's a 30-minute job for a programmer. Everything important up, everything unimportant down. Done.
