Hello,

I only just got around to this now.

In the category:
Collecting & Rare/Romance booklets & loan books/Romance booklets/Romance booklets (from 1945)/Adventure novels (from 1945)
guidebooks, city guides, hiking guides and similar reference books have been lurking around there for years(?)
Ebay suggests this category when listing via the catalog (incorrectly).
What are they doing there and can’t that be changed once and for all?

Hello everyone, we bought an ebike at the end of April through a commercial seller from China or something. The ebike arrived with us in May. It had damage, probably from transport. Then there was a refund and a replacement battery from the seller. So far, so good. After a short time, the oil brake was also shot and the motor makes strange noises while riding. Unfortunately, I can no longer reach the seller, as he no longer responds. New brakes still haven’t been fitted because we don’t have a replacement, since the brakes we have ordered so far never fit. There’s no response to that either from the seller, whether a replacement can be sent or a model can be provided. Can EBay help with this? I can’t open a case about it.

I’d be grateful for any help, as it was really expensive and it would be a shame if it can no longer be ridden now.

it is probably about order no.: 07-08558-88300 in April 2022. A return was already initiated and closed here, and a partial refund was also made, which you received. Once a return is closed because a partial or full refund has been agreed upon, it can never be reopened. Unfortunately, eBay will no longer be able to support you either. You are dependent on the seller helping you further, or you must enforce your rights yourself.

1. Why is the view of the ratings, even your own, HINDERED by elaborate captchas? I can sort of understand that for payment data, but ratings are public data.

2. Please move the Q&A session to FRIDAY instead of Wednesday - NO normal person has Wednesdays off. Except maybe you, due to a lack of questions 😉 No, really, on Fridays more people have time to improve ebay in the Q&A session (keyword: long weekend, bridge day).

3. Phrase your notice CLEARLY (or rather: more clearly):

via one of the eBay apps for iPhone, iPad and Android,
which you complete with your eBay.de account or eBay.at account

5. UK, Brexit: This market is NO longer part of the EU - so why are offers from the UK still being shown in my search? And why does ebay CONCEAL the import costs until you look at the Offer in detail?

6. Speaking of the UK, they’ve had a DARK MODE for ages:

When selecting the day and time period for the eBay Q&A session, we based our decision on the statistics showing when most members are active in the community: Wednesday between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

If you find it difficult to ask your questions during the Q&A session, you can of course create your own topic in the community 24x7 and then tag @patrick@ebay or @miriam@ebay for eBay questions and me @steffi@ebay for community questions.

The dark mode was activated for us at the same time as the community in the UK. You can find instructions on how to use it here.

Questions 2 and 6 are answered by @steffi@ebay .

Question 1: Unfortunately, I can’t really follow that, when I look at feedback, both professionally and privately. I’ve never had to solve a captcha for that so far. Feel free to show me screenshots or describe in detail how the process works for you. I’ll also need the browser type & version, and whether add-ons / plugins are used, or whether incognito mode is also used, and whether cookies & cache are cleared when the browser is closed.

Question 3: I’m happy to pass that along; so far no one has reported any issues with the wording or complained about it.

Question 3b: Wasn’t LineageOS discontinued in general? Therefore it is very likely no longer supported by eBay either.

Question 4: Essentially the same as question 1. Depending on how or which browser is used with which settings, this also affects how often or regularly the captcha appears for you. If you use the Brave browser, for example, it is not supported by eBay either and leads to some hurdles. If cookies & cache are cleared daily or regularly, this can also often lead to such "annoying" behavior. But as the Community Team, we also make an effort to provide the respective teams with updates on the feedback & criticism we receive.

Question 5: We’d also need you to send us the info about your search settings, and also name offers as examples. There are various factors why an offer can also be shown that is outside the EU.
