💬 Welcome to the general eBay Q&A session on 20/03/2024 at 2:00 PM
Hello everyone and ❤️ welcome to the eBay Q&A session with the eBay Community Team.
Since we don’t have a special topic this week, please feel free to ask here your (general buying or selling questions, please not topics already being discussed by other members) questions.
To help us answer your questions more quickly, we ask you to choose one question per post. Of course, you can write as many posts in the eBay Q&A session as you like - in fact, we’d love that!
The Q&A session will remain open until 3:00 PM. After that, it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to make sure that all questions that may still be unanswered are answered – please allow us some time for this, as we often need to ask other colleagues for support to get the correct answer for you.
To post your question, click Reply in the bottom right corner of this post, enter your question, and click "Reply" between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
The format of the eBay Q&A session reflects the format of our community discussion forums, where all posts appear chronologically. The Community Team answers each incoming question in that order and then quotes the original question in the respective reply. This quote and the reply appear later chronologically and therefore further down.
IMPORTANT: even though we use the discussion forum format, the Q&A session is separate and only for individual members' questions only and not to start discussions - please use our discussion forum.
If you unfortunately missed the eBay Q&A session, we’d be happy if you posted your question directly in the community or simply waited until the next Q&A session*.
Kind regards,
Your eBay Community Team

Hello @myeatnordic ,
since the Q&A session has already ended, I would like to move your post to a separate topic so I can respond to it better.
Best regards

·2 years agoWhy are private sellers allowed to "beg" here if they
have been around for so and so long and eBay even goes along with it???
Isn't it enough that private individuals are allowed to sell here for free?
Isn't that recognition enough?
steffi@ebay
Hi @perfect-sally, even if this is off topic here: eBay primarily consists of members, and not every member is just a seller!

·2 years agoHello,
I've been with ebay for 25 years on 1/4/2024.
Does ebay acknowledge that in any way?
Nothing happened for the 20th anniversary either.
no special star,
no coffee mug,
no T-shirt, etc
steffi@ebay
Hello @danisane, I’m not congratulating you yet, since that supposedly brings bad luck. But it’s great that you’ve been with eBay for so long 😍! I just noticed that I also didn’t get anything as a member for my 20th anniversary 😪. Please let me discuss this once in the background with the people responsible, and I’ll get back here later (but it will probably take a while).

·2 years agoHello,
I refunded a buyer the purchase amount.
That means no transaction took place.
1.
Why is he still allowed to leave me feedback?
2.
Why am I not allowed to leave him one?
3.
Why isn’t the dishonest feedback removed by EBAY (request was denied)?
Thanks.
patrick@ebay
Hello @rosen1972 ,
you are welcome to submit a request regarding the feedback on the page: Portal for seller requests .
1. A transaction did take place.
2/3. Sellers cannot leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers: Leave feedback for buyers
Best regards

·2 years agoHi Patrick,
as written, the request/ plea for deletion has already been rejected.
The fact that sellers can't leave neutral or negative feedback is really outrageous!
And no, if the buyer has their item back, then in legal terms NO transaction has taken place. That's why such feedback has to be deleted, especially when it doesn't correspond to the truth. It's a shame that EBAY is being so stubborn.
