💬 Welcome to the general eBay Q&A on 21/12/22 at 2:00 p.m.
Hello everyone and ❤️welcome to the eBay Q&A session with the eBay Community Team.
Since we don't have a specific topic this week, please feel free to post your general buying or selling questions here.
You're also welcome to message me with topics that should have a whole Q&A session devoted to them.
To help us answer your questions more quickly, please choose one question per post. Of course, you can write as many posts as you like in the eBay Q&A session - in fact, we'd encourage you to do so!
The Q&A session will remain open until 3:00 PM. After that, it will be closed to further questions. Of course, we will continue to make sure all questions are answered, including any that may still be unanswered - please give us a little time for this, as we often need to ask other colleagues for support in order to get the correct answer for you.
To post your question, click Reply in the lower right corner of this post, enter your question, and click "Reply" between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
The eBay Q&A session format reflects the format of our community discussion forums, where all posts appear chronologically. The Community Team answers each incoming question in that order and then quotes the original question in the respective reply. This quote and the reply appear later chronologically and therefore further down.
If you unfortunately missed the eBay Q&A session, we'd be happy if you posted your question directly in the Community or simply waited until the next Q&A session*.
Best regards,
Your eBay Community Team
*on 28/12/22 the Q&A session will take a Christmas break and return in the new year at the usual time of 2:00 PM on 04/01/23.

·3 years agoHello, I sold 2 electric locomotives from my father's estate, along with many other model cars and model trains, to the same buyer. I tested the locomotives to make sure they were working and sent many photos showing their good condition. The buyer claims that both locomotives had engine damage and that the
couplings had been removed. However, new locomotives don't come with couplings attached; they come with the package. I also photographed that and informed the buyer. Ebay reviewed it and decided the buyer should be refunded 50 euros. I disagree. I think this is a scammer. How can I appeal the ebay ruling?
miriam@ebay
Hello @bibelroli and thanks for your question! Such situations are of course always challenging, for both sides and also for eBay, since we cannot see and inspect the item at any time.
As you write it, the partial refund in your case comes from eBay. You do not have to pay the agreed amount out of your own pocket and may keep the proceeds from the sale. Offering a partial refund is one way for us to resolve the situation satisfactorily for both sides, so that you can both continue to buy and sell on eBay in the future 🙂.
Kind regards

·3 years agoCan anyone else among you give me a hint on what can be done?
miriam@ebay
It's a pity that my answer wasn't sufficient for you, @bibelroli. In this format of the Q&A session, the eBay Community team (eBay employees) answers your questions.
Feel free to start your own topic here if you'd like to exchange ideas with other sellers. However, an appeal against this case decision is not possible in the event of a goodwill solution by eBay. This means there are no additional costs for you and the sales proceeds will soon be transferred to your bank account on file 👍.
Kind regards
Miriam
