Current tariffs for international sales to the USA
Dear sellers,
You have probably heard in the news about the US tariffs and are wondering what this means for you and your business on eBay.
We are closely monitoring how new US tariffs and customs policies are affecting buying and selling on eBay.
What is changing
US de minimis rule will be lifted as of August 29, 2025
The US de minimis threshold will be suspended worldwide effective August 29, 2025. This means that all shipments to the US - regardless of the value of the goods - may be subject to customs duties and clearance requirements. Learn more
New customs tariffs since 7, 2025*
Certain customs tariffs took effect on 7*. From this date, customs duties on US imports from more than 80 countries will increase.
Please note that delivery times for shipments may be delayed due to US customs clearance. eBay will continue to adjust the estimated delivery date to ensure accurate arrival estimates for your buyers.
Tariffs, import fees, and personal information are generally collected by the shipping carriers after checkout is complete. These are not included in the prices shown on eBay.
How eBay will protect you
We protect you on eBay by removing negative or neutral feedback related to tariffs for these orders. For your transaction defects and your late shipment rate, we adjust the late shipment rate if valid tracking shows that issues were caused by shipping delays. The associated defects are removed.
We will continue to provide updates in the Seller Portal on eBay.de as soon as we learn more about the impact for sellers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Kind regards
Your eBay team
