Automatic processing of valid return requests and Hermes return labels for buyers
Dear business sellers!
Starting in September 2023, return requests from buyers will be gradually automatically accepted if the return request complies with your return policy or the eBay Buyer Protection policy. In these cases, eBay will automatically provide buyers with a Hermes return label. Only when the Hermes return label is redeemed at the parcel shop will eBay deduct the amount of €5.47 incl. VAT from your available funds. If, in accordance with your return policy, buyers have to pay for the return shipping, they will be informed of this and the refund amount will be reduced by the cost of the Hermes return label. With this change, we want to simplify and streamline the returns process for both sellers and buyers. In the cases mentioned above, you no longer need to process return requests or create return labels and upload them to eBay or send them to the buyer in any other way. This shortens the time needed to process returns, and your buyers' satisfaction increases. Thanks to the Hermes return labels, returns are trackable and directly integrated with eBay. This gives you full seller protection.

Change your settings in the Seller Hub Pro > Orders > Settings > Returns – Settings > Settings for processing returns > Return number > I want to have the option to add a return number (RMA).
