DE AT CH: May '22 - changes to item attributes and the category structure are currently being implemented
Dear sellers,
We are currently updating some of our categories and item specifics. In doing so, we want to help make your listings even easier to find: on eBay as well as in external search engines.
The following category changes take effect as of now:
- Business & Industrial (sinks)
- Collectibles & Art, Antiques & Art, and Toys
- Cameras & Photo (lenses)
- Health & Beauty (Covid-19 self-tests)
- Home & Garden
- eBay Motors: Parts & Accessories (tires, rims & wheel and tire packages)
- Sporting Goods (golf and cycling)
- Watches
During these updates, the visibility of your listings in the affected categories may be temporarily impacted. Individual item specifics may be renamed or certain listings may be moved to other categories. In the short term, individual listings may also be excluded from search.
We will resolve any possible impact on your listings within one week. In some cases, it is possible that impacts on visibility may be observed for up to three weeks.
We recommend that once the updates have been completed, you review your listings in the categories mentioned. This will show you whether your listings have been affected by the changes. Please find out about the category structure changes.
Although the changes involve additional effort, they will help you gain more visibility and increase your sales opportunities in the long term.
