The new eBay podcast: Reseller+: Phillipp Ohland about his commercial eBay business & Social Media
Our podcast team Isabell and David talks with Phillipp Ohland, a successful reseller on eBay. As a student, he started out very small as a private seller on eBay, occasionally selling things he no longer needed. His success and enjoyment of selling turned him into an active reseller. For a long time now, he has been successfully selling as a business seller everything that makes him a profit and is in demand, especially electronics, video games, and gaming items. So far, so normal: Philipp Ohland has successfully built his eBay business with 2 shops.
What makes Phillipp Ohland special is his wide-reaching reputation as “flipping.student” across various social media platforms. On his YouTube channel, he regularly publishes tutorials about selling on eBay. Starting with tips for business selling, to the purpose and value of eBay shops, and explanations of eBay fees and optimal listings. In many respects, these have to meet the high expectations for standards in online retail. Only if you make customers happy can you be successful. He himself is his best customer, driving him to hold his own against the competition with his listings.
eBay was at his side as a partner during his business growth: the eBay Starter program and the personal advice tailored to his business helped him a lot in building up his eBay business. “So these six months of the Starter program as a whole really brought me a lot.”, he says in retrospect. His own video about eBay Starter got a lot of positive feedback and made many sellers aware of the program.
