The new podcast: Successful with insect protection – Carolin Langer in conversation
Growing up in a beekeeping family, Carolin Langer knows what she’s talking about when she describes her successful eBay business with bee-friendly seeds. The development engineer was 24 years old when she founded her company LaCaTho as a side job. And as if those two jobs weren’t enough, she’s also working on her Master’s in Integrated Engineering on the side.
She started out by selling seeds from a rare tree in her parents’ garden. The business did well, so she added flower seeds and expanded her range. At first she worked out of the family garage, where up to 600 shipments had to be packed every day. Today, she entrusts LaCaTho’s day-to-day operations to her employees with complete confidence so she can focus on her main job. With lots of perks, clear processes, and a fixed division of tasks, Carolin Langer creates a motivating work environment.
eBay has supported Carolin Langer in building and professionalizing her online business. Today, the marketplace is one of her most important sales channels. Her success was crowned in September 2022 with the eBay Award “Young Entrepreneur”.
