The new podcast episode: eBay's year in review and outlook for 2025

For the latest podcast episode, Lisa invited eBay Germany Managing Director Dr. Saskia Meier-Andrae and Andreas Häntsch, Senior Director Seller Engagement at eBay Germany, into the studio. Not only are the guests’ fun facts worth hearing, the three also look back on the year, on the challenges facing the economy, and on the many occasions when they met our merchants all across the country. Together, we were able to implement the new regulations affecting selling on eBay.
Once again, the two look back on the “eBay on tour” event series and the many good conversations they had with merchants in Leipzig, Bremen, Düsseldorf, and Stuttgart. Thanks to this intensive exchange, we at eBay can keep improving the platform. Artificial intelligence is a big topic right now and will remain one next year as well. In 2024, product development at eBay also inspired brands, for example. The Brand Cockpit was launched, allowing brands and manufacturers to manage their business on eBay. Performance data is now even more detailed for everyone in Seller Cockpit Pro. The list of new features and improvements to the eBay marketplace could go on and on.
And what tips do the two have for 2025? Even more merchants should take part in the great eBay merchant programs for getting started on the platform and growing their business. Standing out from the crowd is the order of the day in order to stay competitive: achieve the visibility you need with top offers, detailed item descriptions, great photos, and plenty of item specifics.
