Dear sellers,
eBay supports hundreds of thousands of European small and medium-sized businesses that want to expand their business internationally. The new Digital Services Act is currently being prepared. It could seriously affect eBay’s role as a pioneer of online commerce. The planned rules could result in the following:
- Your eBay account or your listings could be suspended without giving reasons, or for the slightest unintentional mistake. You could also have difficulties posting your eBay listings.
- Registering on online marketplaces could become more bureaucratic and time-consuming. The protection of your data could be at risk.
- The diversity of online commerce and online services would be threatened. Large providers would dominate.
