New podcast episode on air: Refurbished instead of new. AfB & eBay successfully hand in hand
Dear sellers,
What looks new at first glance may already be living a second life: Refurbished products are refurbished, tested, and technically flawless – making them the smart alternative to new goods. In the new podcast episode, our host Lisa talks with Nils Karcher from AfB gGmbH, Europe’s first non-profit IT systems house, about sustainability, inclusion, and the opportunities in the refurbished market. Also in the podcast studio was Patrick Schäfer, who advises eBay Shops as an e-commerce strategist and marketplace expert.
On the eBay marketplace, refurbished products are given great importance through a dedicated program. AfB shows with its eBay Shop how used devices become high-quality refurbished products – including clearly defined quality standards and additional Allianz protection. And the biggest difference from other IT companies is that AfB is a non-profit organization. That means its goal is also to create jobs for people with disabilities. For this great commitment, eBay awarded AfB the eBay Award in September in the Sustainable Company category.
This means not only the environment and society benefit, but also buyers and sellers: more trust, less use of resources. A real win-win situation for everyone.
Curious? Then listen in now!
Kind regards
Your eBay team
