New US customs regulations and restrictions on postal shipping of goods to the USA since 8/22/25
Dear sellers,
With the abolition of the de minimis rule for duty-free goods imports from August 29, 2025, all imports will be subject to customs duties — private gifts up to USD 100 are exempt.
You can no longer send your shipments to the USA as postal goods shipments or as DHL parcels. Please choose DHL Express instead, for example.
You can continue to use the following DHL and Deutsche Post shipping services for shipments to the USA:
- DHL Express
- Private gift shipments (“gift”) up to USD 100
- Documents by letter
Buyers in the USA must expect customs fees of at least 15%, even for goods under USD 100.
Important note: Please declare and document your shipments of goods to the USA very clearly. Item descriptions, proof of value, and HS codes are required. Learn more
