New pilot: DHL Päckchen S and M now with tracking via eBay
Summary: de.news@ebay announced a new pilot program in collaboration with DHL, introducing automatic shipment tracking for DHL Päckchen S and M when shipping labels are purchased via the eBay platform. This enhancement offers increased shipping transparency for both buyers and sellers. The program, aimed at lightweight and less expensive items, is set to run until the end of the year, during which feedback will be collected to improve the service.

Together with DHL, we’re launching a pilot: starting now, DHL products Päckchen S and Päckchen M will automatically include tracking when the shipping labels are purchased directly through the eBay shipping platform at ebay.de.

Tracking is activated directly when you buy the shipping labels at ebay.de.
Buyers benefit from more transparency about the shipping status, and you know that the parcel has finally arrived safely with your buyers.
Important note: Tracking applies exclusively to shipping labels purchased via the eBay shipping platform. DHL Päckchen labels purchased outside of eBay do not include tracking.
Which items are the tracked parcels suitable for?
DHL Päckchen with tracking are especially suitable for shipping light and lower-cost items where simple and transparent tracking is desired.
For higher-value items, sellers can still use the DHL parcel products on the eBay shipping platform – including liability coverage up to 500 €.
Pilot phase
The joint pilot from eBay and DHL has already started and is expected to run until the end of the year. During this time, we’ll gather experience and feedback to further optimize the offer.
