Reducing multi-factor authentication through trusted devices
Dear sellers,
To ensure the security of your eBay account and compliance with EU regulations, we have introduced multi-factor authentication . At our live events in 2023, we had many opportunities to discuss this important topic with you. Thank you for your feedback! We learned that repeated authentication can hinder your business processes on the eBay platform. Therefore, we are enabling you to identify trusted devices and browsers. You will be asked whether you trust the device you are logging in from. As soon as you mark a device as trusted, we reduce authentication requests to the required minimum.
All devices you want to log in to eBay with and that you have marked as trusted devices can be viewed and managed in My eBay > eBay account > Sign in securely > Devices you trust .
Thank you for your feedback! We hope that this new feature will make selling on eBay even easier for you and save you time.
Best regards
Your eBay team
