Our advertising campaign “eBay. That’s you” supports you during the busiest sales period of the year
Dear sellers,
our new advertising campaign “eBay. That’s you” launched on Monday. With it, we want to strengthen the eBay brand in public perception and inspire as many buyers as possible for our marketplace.
Just in time for the peak season, we are supporting you with this wide-ranging marketing initiative on TV, in cinemas and on radio, online on Bild.de or Chip.de as well as on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Across all age groups, we want to appeal to different target audiences. With advertising in Spotify podcasts and radio spots, we are focusing particularly on the strongest sales period during Cyber Week from November 22-29. During the Christmas season starting November 30, we will launch digital ad placements in subway stations and shopping malls.
At the center of the new campaign is the diversity of the online marketplace. More precisely: the diversity of the people who make eBay what it is. These are decor fans, sneakerheads, tech nerds, car lovers, bargain hunters, self-employed people, and everyone who buys and sells on eBay. This diverse community of buyers and sellers enables fair and human interaction on our marketplace.
According to Linde Scheers, Chief Marketing Officer, who is responsible for the campaign: “eBay is currently not tangible enough for many people. We want to change that with our new campaign by focusing our communication on what has distinguished eBay since its founding: diversity, opportunity, and human connection. We have emotionally charged and modernized these unique values of our marketplace model as part of the campaign.”
Take a look at eBay. That’s you!
Kind regards
Your eBay team
