Add a repair score to your listings in selected categories when selling to France
It is important to give your buyers as much information as possible about your items in order to sell successfully on eBay.
If you sell certain products to France, you now need to add a repair code to your listings so that you comply with existing legislation.
This repair score currently applies to the following categories (this list may, however, be changed):
- Front-loading washing machines
- Smartphones
- Laptops
- Televisions
- Electric lawn mowers
- Top-loading washing machines
- Dishwashers
- Vacuum cleaners
- Pressure washers
The repair score tells buyers how easy it is to maintain or repair a product. The score ranges from 1 to 10, with 1 being seen as barely repairable and 10 as very repairable. It is displayed in your listing near the product price. You can find the repair score for your products by contacting your supplier.
It is quick and easy to add the repair score to your listings, and you can do this while creating your listing. Read more about it on our help page.
Please note that these rules apply to the items you sell in France, regardless of the country where you are registered.
Thank you for selling on eBay.
