the community is a good thing but :
for the newcomer or inexperienced user, somewhat complicatedly structured.
More clarity would be nice.

·2 years agoYeah, another confirmation never hurts, if all that ample new staff can’t help either.
I just went to the trouble of looking for it again.
On the other hand, I could of course spend the evening differently too 😎

·2 years agoOh come on, you lovely people. It’s already quite opaque and the links go round in circles.
@jfa2766 what kind of item number is that anyway, or please send me the link. Probably China. Then you’d have to ship it at a crazy high cost. Leave it for now 😎 Put the trouble in the basement/closet and wait...
terri131719
·2 years agoI did some digging: I think it was that part https://www.ebay.de/itm/386203001359
Then, in theory, that would have to go to China. Excerpt from the legal information/cancellation policy:
, that you have sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier date. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier date. You must return or hand over the goods to us or to Jiankangshu Yiliaokeji Youxiangongsi 710A 7th Floor Building B Area B Dazhou Park Xiangzhou District Zhuhai, 519085 ,China, without delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send off the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods. You only have to cover any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling them in a way that was not necessary to check their condition, properties, and functioning.
Just standard text ...
If it wasn't the item, you should always be able to find the addresses in these texts. Personally, I would wait - the actual value of the thing is probably marginal.

OP2 years agoHello terri131719 .
The suggestion makes sense I will take it to heart and wait until something happens .
Thanks , the article description was correct by the way .

·2 years agoHi @terri131719 You’re already getting support in this matter from two eBay employees, here’s the original thread 😉

·2 years agoIt probably ran in parallel, and not much help was given there either.
"Unfortunately, we still haven’t received any feedback from your seller. As I can see, you still haven’t received a return label either. Would you like me to ask your seller again?
Alternatively, I can also send you the return address by email."
If he sends it back, it can’t be tracked completely and he’s left holding the costs — China is always good for a surprise ... or 😎
So ... just sit tight and pack the item away until the seller speaks up.

·2 years agoExactly that last sentence had @perfect-sally already posted to Te on 1/11. 😎

·2 years agoIt’s not constructive to demand that. Because the forums have been intentionally made more complicated and access-restricted (MhM). There used to be a chronological list of the forum questions here. There were reasons for abolishing that, and unfortunately they have nothing to do with user-friendliness.
bootyooty
·2 years agoI don't see anyone here demanding anything!
All I see here is someone who is constantly and deliberately grumbling against the forum, the helpers, and MHM!
If it's really so horribly complicated and confusing, then why do you even post here at all?
Oh right, then you wouldn't be able to complain so nicely anymore. 😂

Hello @jfa2766, as you can see from the replies, we’d be happy to help you. Have you already seen our Community Tutorial Videos ?
Discover with our videos the eBay Community and what it has to offer you
Maybe these will also bring you more clarity.
I’d appreciate a reply.

·2 years ago@jfa2766 I don’t quite understand this now.... you were already here twice before your current post and you managed to get along well, didn’t you? 🤔

·2 years agowell.... good question @perfect-sally
If something is supposed to be changed, you should be a bit clearer....
More clarity... about what?
321bestparts
·2 years agoHello @ @dmary56
I've been around for a really long time and I see it the same way.
To be more precise:
Too many categories and, within those, too many subcategories as well.
steffi@ebay
Thanks for the feedback @321bestparts - we're currently working on a "streamlining".

·2 years agoGood morning,
what used to be completely normal for me about 3 years ago,
doesn't work anymore today. Back then you had a phone no.
you called and picked up in person for payment.
Exactly the same the other way around. The buyers called, we arranged
an appointment and the deal went through.
Today I want to sell to self-pickup buyers and maybe even have a coffee with the buyers
sometimes. Unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. Too bad, then
I guess I'll have to look for another platform.
The emails from Ebay, which you can't
reply to, are also completely off base.
Does Ebay have a contract with the carriers? And do they want to
exclude the human element.
Best regards Charly
steffi@ebay
Good morning @perfect-sally, I’d like to know that too now 🤗.

OP2 years agoI hadn't expected such astonishment at my remark,
it's not really my place, as a newcomer, to criticize such a well-functioning community
I just found retrieving the messages a bit confusing.
Period. I take back my words.
Best regards

·2 years ago😂Retrieving the messages? Had you subscribed to the thread and then received an email every time, or what exactly did you mean by that @jfa2766 ?
jfa2766
OP2 years agoHello bootyooty ,
No, I haven’t subscribed to the thread. Maybe that’s also why
every time a reply comes in, I first have to look for it.
I don’t know either what the optimal settings are.
In the end, I just want to get the shipping label from the seller
and get rid of the device that’s lying around here with me.

·2 years agoUltimately, I just want to get the shipping label from the seller
and get rid of the device that's lying around at my place.
And that's why the community is now complicated and needs more clarity?
If you have a problem with a seller, why is the community structured in a complicated way then?
jfa2766
OP2 years agoMarking the text red wasn't necessary.
Black is more to my taste.
I'd be happy to finally close the topic.

·2 years agoHey, @jfa2766 is this still about this issue here that you had already asked about in the community before?
https://community.ebay.de/t5/Mitglieder-helfen-Mitgliedern/R%C3%BCcksendeetikett/td-p/4756463
Selina had written to you that ebay.de can’t issue a label for you, and the waiting period for whether the seller will do that is not over yet either.
jfa2766
OP2 years agoYes, it’s still about the same article .
I had already taken note of Selina’s message .
Selina had written to you that ...
Now it’s a matter of waiting.
