It would be nice if we could discuss how short the leash is when it comes to following netiquette.
Not everyone knows the rules of etiquette
Can we not also discuss this without anything happening to anyone and without everything we write here always being taken so literally?

Basically, you just have to ask what is legally given higher priority.
a.) the fundamental right to free expression of opinion. (Art. 5 paragraph 1 of the Basic Law)
or
b.) the "netiquette" used flexibly here
Why: Netiquette was formulated at all:
Quote: "Netiquettes prohibit insults and harassment (cyberbullying and -**ouch**), racist and sexist statements or incitement to criminal acts. A phenomenon that has attracted a lot of attention since 2013 and must also be taken into account is hate speech. Internet codes pursue a broader approach and also refer to data protection and security as well as the responsibilities of operators."

sorry but I already knocked off at 1:30 a.m.
My point with this topic was really only that a lot of things should/must be taken a bit more lightly and not so doggedly and seriously, and as your text also says, nobody is being threatened or insulted here, and that not everything in a discussion is always sugar-coated is only normal too, but I'll leave it as it is and position myself on the stone that is put in one's way, look up at the sky and smile 😁

In general, of course, you can mention us at any time or regardless of the day.
A certain response time should always be factored in. Sometimes it happens faster, sometimes it takes longer. As you've correctly recognized, our tasks are more than just reading and writing in the community. The fact that we are not around on weekends is nothing new either. However, our Community Support Team can also be found on weekends, even from morning to evening.
One thing upfront: there is no exact list, not even for the mentors. They also don't know in advance when who will come online. Everything is shared, who is currently there and for how long. Almost everyone also gets this, according to the respective responses.

Just because I did it after 5 p.m. doesn’t mean you have to make a comment like that ?
Even if I had written it at 12:30 a.m. at night, people can reply to me whenever they want or not, but as @*sweet-melody* already wrote, I also won’t tag the staff for "every little thing" and won’t bother them after 5 p.m. anymore.

Feedback on the rules can of course be given, e.g. in this board here.
But discussing moderation (editing, removing, locking, etc.) will also continue in the future. It should and may not be brought up; if there are problems, please send us a private message or use the community inbox. It will not be tolerated publicly in the boards / topics. This also includes replies like "Oh, weren't there just posts here?" "Messages were probably deleted again".
Depending on how serious the violation is, action will be taken accordingly. But repeated instances, e.g. of off-topic "not sticking to the topic", can also have major effects on how moderation proceeds.

Recently on 12.07.2024 I messaged Miriam once and still haven’t gotten a reply to this day, and then I sent Steffi 7 messages about this on different (days), but she had started this test and not me.
@patrick@ebay,if I may make this remark, you’re “implying” that I might send 100 PMs to you guys ( I know what you mean😏 ),if I were to make such an “implication” about you guys, the hammer would come down on me again, because a lot is taken way too seriously and that’s why I brought up that one topic.
No one means you any harm and we’re all happy that this exists, but sometimes you should just take everything a bit more casually, and no one is being insulted or anything like that, and I’m not taking it to heart either😊

It's time-consuming to find out the online times of each individual employee. So that
they aren't tagged unnecessarily, I think it would be practical if there were a list with
the office hours (writing times ) . Would that be feasible?
The green dot does not always mean that they are on duty.

this "list" does exist, but only visible to the mentors.
It probably isn’t intended either that any Tom, Dick and Harry mark the staff members.
That would completely overwhelm the staff members if everyone marked according to their own whim.
I don’t think the marking option is meant for that either.
But it was referring to Miriam & Patrick and they will in very few
cases still be there that late.

·2 years agoThat's not what anyone said or wrote! But you have to admit yourself that if everyone who comes here marks the MA's for every little thing, they won't be able to keep up anymore. And the MA's are not just there for the community; they usually have other tasks too. Most questions or concerns can be resolved without MA.

attendance list just underlines it.
For us, many problems may be trivial and easy to solve ourselves,
but for the person asking the question maybe not, and I don't presume
to be able to judge that, especially since I don't know the people asking the questions at all.

Hello @*sweet-melody* , but that's exactly what the green dot means - when we're online, we're also present in the community. Of course we have other tasks as well, and that's why our response can be delayed, but if we're green, we're also there for the community.
