no, I’ve never tried this like that before, since I’m not constantly messaging someone privately, but next time I’d test it like this: if I can’t message you, whether it works directly afterward with a member.

Maybe it could have something to do with the number of
images. Screenshots count too.
1,000 images are allowed.
What seemed strange to me was that after deleting some images,
I was able to send an email again.
When I reach my limit, I'll give it a try.
But that may still take a while, because I just deleted several
images.

if you mean the inserted images, you can count them on 3-4 hands with me and it's only, when I want to message someone on Ebay, there were and are no problems with every "normal" member

Probably not after an email. And don't the photos count as well, maybe?
It doesn't really seem to me as if it's clearly ruled out, with either *yes or no*, in your
statement in the email.

For me, it happened right after an email. When I tried again,
it still didn't work, so I gave up after that.
Because I had the thought that there might be an email limit, similar to
the number of images, and the emails might possibly be classified as images, I deleted images and then sent the email, which then worked.
I don't know whether that's connected.

if it happens, then always right on the first try, and during that time, as you wrote, I didn't send any either, because as you wrote, it always happens right on the first try.

I’m a little surprised by your answer. The word "private" actually implies that certain topics are not meant for third parties. The participants concerned decide which topics those are.
Also, I live by one principle:
"I like working, I work a lot, sometimes in vain, but never for nothing."
So unfortunately my activity in the community has to stay that way. I simply don’t want to provide free support tasks 😉 Alternatively, of course, one could also lift the restriction. Then one or two topics might not have to be discussed in PNs.

Hello @ttd4it, that’s right - but private topics are counterproductive and also not the point of a community. Just imagine if everyone only exchanged private messages here, then we could shut down 😪.
And I would never call the mentors’ support "for nothing" - quite the opposite, it’s rewarding!
But let’s not stray any further from the actual topic: Every member should be able to send private messages as long as the limit has not been reached.

The error occurs more often than might be assumed.
Because one person or another would also like to talk to each other in the PM, or gives help with problems that, for example, cannot be done in the category "Members help members" because of the open restriction on those replying.
This happens to me regularly here. Then contacts have questions about bookkeeping, design, the layout of the legal notice, etc. etc. and after 2, 3, 4 PMs it's over because the message cited by mmstore74 appears.
I'll stick with my challenge "ebay 25 years, 25 errors" 😉

Hello @ttd4it, thanks for your feedback. This technical problem cannot take part in the challenge, since the community software is not provided by eBay. It is also worth mentioning that private messages are not meant for helping each other, but rather for sharing private content. The point of a community is to share your knowledge with as many members as possible and also be part of the community in order to experience it. Private messages are rather counterproductive for that.
The same applies to the Members help members section. Here, only our selected mentors can intentionally provide support and thereby also share their knowledge publicly with others, which then benefits everyone in the community aka community. If you are interested in the mentor role, please let me know.

I've had that before too, a long time ago.
After that I deleted the number of my pictures
and then it worked again. 1000 pictures is the limit,
after that nothing works anymore. Could it be that maybe the emails (notifications)
count as pictures too? Or is there also a separate limit for the emails,
where nothing works anymore and you have to delete them first before you can send more
?
