Originally it was said that during the migration, the topics from the last 5 years would be carried over. But that doesn’t seem to be the case?

I got that impression too. I’ll keep an eye out for similar discussions.

It actually doesn’t matter from which side I took the screenshot

made it, I don’t remember anymore either. It was still the same,

with some links they lead nowhere and with others .to another

other thread. .

But now, as @stubenkram kindly wrote, there are no more links to see..

Maybe it’s already being worked on.

I suspect that this is related to the automatic archiving in the community and that something still needs to be adjusted here so that under "Similar discussions" only posts are linked that are actually still accessible.

How is this "automatic archiving" to be understood, Steffi? Were/are the topics that can no longer be accessed deleted or merely moved to an archive?

Originally, wasn't it said that when migrating, the topics from the last 5 years would be transferred? But that doesn't seem to be the case?

I already posted this link here 5 days ago. Two of the three "Similar Discussions" there were shown as "removed" at that time.

The whole thing now seems to have been updated so that no "Similar Discussions" are currently shown there at all. 😉 I’m also not being shown any in this topic here at the moment. In some categories/boards there are some in the topics, in others there aren’t.

I assume the screenshot is current. Use the search function or go into any random topic and check the three links shown there, @voli-maus Some of them will work, some won't.

For example, in this topic here all three links to "similar discussions" work. The oldest topic among them is from 2024.

That probably still has to do with the migration. Somewhere it said that topics from the last 5 years would be taken over. At first, links to related topics worked nowhere, but not to newly created topics, and they led straight into nowhere. By now that has improved.

However, there are still some older topics that can’t be opened via the links, or now appear as "deleted". Maybe they really were, because they are considered "resolved".

The problem will sort itself out once there are three newer topics with similar content for every topic.

Newer links also appear as "deleted" - e.g. from October 2025. A scoundrel is whoever thinks something bad about that.

It’s also possible that some topics have now been assigned to a different board, or have received a different label. In any case, the old URLs are no longer working. The conversion process may still not be completed for all topics.

The topics that now appear as "deleted" therefore don’t necessarily all have to be deleted. Anything that can still be found through the search function (or soon again) should still be there.

Not all links lead nowhere. Yes, I also think that these

functions are still not really mature. But why are they offered if they don't work properly?

The software states that in each topic a maximum of three "similar discussions" are shown as links. Which topics these are is probably AI-controlled, and the selection and number of topics displayed can also change as a topic progresses. This function is therefore generally available everywhere, but at the moment it is still behaving somewhat oddly and sometimes topics that have been removed are also shown.

I get slightly different topics displayed there than the ones shown in your screenshot.

The two topics from April and May 2026 no longer exist (or were moved to another area that members cannot view, or the URLs were not yet correct). Then this message appears when I click the links:

but I also got: Discussion was removed..........

On the left side, in the upper corner, I have:

Category v

Subscriptions v

You can click them, but nothing happens. No dropdown appears either.

The one on the left has nothing to do with it, @*sweet-melody* That's a side-mounted menu for navigation and certain functions. If you click these arrows ^, you can expand and collapse the individual sections.

That is pretty strange, @*sweet-melody* it works for me.

Maybe the hinges there are already a bit rusted, 😉 put a little oil on them, then it’ll slide right along, haha.
