Offers shortly before the deadline / time expiry without consideration

This has happened to me several times now: my bid, placed in time, was not taken into account.
The clock clearly shows that there are still 10 seconds left until the item is awarded. If I bid 7 seconds before that, suddenly it’s already over. My bid was not accepted, even though there was still enough time.
I’ve been bidding like this for years, but something like this has only happened to me twice in the last few days. The auction was over even though there was still time left. Usually, as I said, around 7 seconds.
That’s bad for buyers, but also bad for sellers. They end up getting less revenue that way.
Does anyone know about this “new” problem?

Would your bid have been the highest, or were you outbid by someone afterward?
