Buyer is not sending a return label - please help
Summary: kometenhuhn had problems with a purchase where an item was pictured incorrectly and the seller initially refused to provide a return label, citing it as a private sale. A misunderstanding led to the shipping label being sent to another account, but kometenhuhn then received a correct label from eBay. Another participant, perfect-sally, found this odd and asked eBay staff about it. In the end, nina@ebay helped add the tracking number. kometenhuhn was grateful for the support.
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with a purchase.
Several parts were shown in the listing, but only one specific part from the image was delivered. The seller then told me that one of the other pictured items had already been sold and that he had uploaded the wrong image. So he can’t deliver what was offered/shown.
I then opened a return, the seller accepted it, but refuses to provide a return label - citing a private sale -_-.
I then politely explained to him that sellers also have obligations in a private sale - to deliver what was offered/shown, and that it is also expected of me that I pay the full amount and not just whatever amount I feel like.
Now we’re going around in circles. Since I have already had the experience several times of dealing with sellers who are rather unwilling to see reason, and I then received a refund through buyer protection, but then still had to "tussle" with the sellers because the item was still with me, I would like to prevent that.
If necessary, a moderator can link someone from Ebay so that the seller of order no. 27-15013-18794 from Ebay is politely asked once again to provide the shipping label?
Thanks

OP1 week agoHello @mia@ebay ,
I received a shipping label, but it was sent to my other account, is that a problem? :)
How can I enter the tracking number within the return?
It still says "Prepare the return now
You will receive a return label by 27 Aug."

·1 week agoHow does the seller get access to your other account? If you buy with Account A and then make a claim, then surely a label can’t be sent to Account B or the whole thing be handled through Account B.
The whole thing is more than strange.
Hello@nina@ebay could you please take a look at this? Many thanks 🤗

OP1 week ago · EditedNo, I got the return label from eBay itself, which was very kind, since the seller is being difficult. Seems there was an internal misunderstanding :) Of course I can still use it anyway. The seller's address is correct.
But I can't enter the tracking number within the case.
Can you still send PMs to eBay employees? I can't find that option anymore. That was my first idea before writing here

·1 week agoHello @kometenhuhn ,
please mention the order number, then @nina@ebay can securely save it for you.
You can also forward the tracking number to the seller, and they can then add it to the item.

OP1 week agoOrder no. 27-15013-18794.
Unfortunately, I don't have much trust in the seller, due to the overall situation and how it was handled :(

@voli-maus @perfect-sally Thanks so much to you both for flagging it. ❤
Best regards,

OP1 week ago@miriam@ebay Could you maybe ask the buyer to issue a return label so that I can send the return?
