Purchase from the UK protected if payment isn't made through eBay?
Hello,
I’m planning to buy from a private seller in the UK. When I do a Buy It Now, I’m not offered payment through eBay, only PayPal and others. Is the purchase still protected through eBay then?

Strange question; over the last 12 months, you received 32 ratings as a buyer. How did you pay for these purchases? Have you never noticed so far that all your payments (whether with PayPal, credit card, GooglePay, etc.) always went to EBAY as the payee? Or how else is money supposed to get into the EBAY payment system?
Just as a precaution: Or do you want to buy something on a different platform this time?

OP1 week agoBefore I can buy the item, I need to enter the payment method. There I have PayPal, my saved Visa, and Google Pay to choose from. But not eBay's payment system.

·1 week agoPurchases are only protected if payment is made through eBay; otherwise there is no buyer protection!
What is that supposed to mean, it only offers PayPal and others? All of these payment methods you can see are payments through eBay.

OP1 week agoIt says PayPal, Visa, and Google Pay as payment methods. No payment via the eBay payment system.

·1 week agoAgain: all payment methods that are visible are payment methods via the ebay system! No matter which method is used, the money goes to ebay!
