Received an empty box! Which case should I open?
Hello everyone,
As described above, I received a completely empty box from a seller.
What is the correct case?
Return request with - item not as described, or item incomplete?
Please help, thank you very much.

A report about empty packaging is not only reviewed within the buyer protection case, but can also be taken into account when evaluating a seller account, with any possible measures always depending on the result of the overall review based on the information available to us.

This morning, the seller escalated the case at eBay and uploaded there the report they had made with DHL.
It would therefore be nice if an eBay employee could be linked. @perfect-sally

·2 weeks agoNot as described because you did receive something, and if there is a tracking number that confirms receipt, anything else would be counterproductive.

It's about order no. 01-15090-79290
The seller isn't really cooperative either - phrases like "Stop telling stories" - DHL supposedly packed the packaging material and the goods on site... just don't help here.

OP2 weeks agoThanks, I was already able to open the request now and have done so, as well as briefly described the case.
I’m curious. I’ve only been able to experience that once in the last 15 years; back then the seller reimbursed it right away - it was probably intentionally sent empty, in my assessment.

I had urged the seller that, if they did send the item properly, they should get in touch with DHL. Also that I’d be happy to confirm there was no content in the box.
Now he wants to wait and see how Ebay decides. Is there anything else I can do besides waiting until I can "escalate" the case?

·2 weeks agoI think you’ll have to wait for the reconciliation phase first and won’t be able to do much yourself.
But let’s ask the MA present again just to be safe.
