100% positive, account still frozen
Summary: polymerah reports problems as a new seller on eBay, because their account was verified and frozen despite positive ratings. Despite submitting documents and contacting eBay, there are issues with pending orders and payouts are being withheld. anna_s@ebay from eBay explains that a full reply to an email from eBay is required to lift the account restrictions. polymerah expresses frustration about the lack of communication and considers issuing a refund as a quick solution. It’s an ongoing problem with no satisfactory response from eBay, which is causing additional stress because of polymerah’s upcoming move.
Hey everyone, I really need your help urgently..
I've been active as a new seller on eBay for three weeks now and got off to an absolute dream start: over 30 sales, everything shipped within 3 days, all tracking numbers entered, and an UNQUESTIONABLY 100% positive feedback score.
Even so, my account was restricted because of verification and my payouts were frozen (in some places it even shows a date in September.. ).
My ID card and tax ID have long since been uploaded, but through the normal help system I unfortunately only get automatic replies.
Could you please take a manual look at my case and lift the restriction? It's really frustrating when you handle everything perfectly and then get stuck with bot support. Right now I've been seeing this message for about 9 days:
"Verification is being carried out
Thank you for resolving the outstanding issues with your eBay account. We will notify you shortly to let you know whether your verification was successful."
By phone, I'm also only told that I should be patient. Well, I'm not selling these things for fun.. We're preparing a move and could really use every euro..
( User ID: polymerah )
Many thanks for your help.. Hopefully.. :D

OP1 month agoCurrent status: No response whatsoever from anyone anymore.. It's almost sad that you have to beg here... How I’d love to find out where the damn problem lies..?! No one can tell me that this "issue" can’t be fixed manually..?! And no, that won’t work on the phone either - neither in German nor in English.. Talking to a team lead or supervisor, as described here already, unfortunately doesn’t help either.. Because they are.. well.. not available... :)

OP1 month agoSo, this is now specifically about one order (18-14979-06993).. You can’t really rely on the tracking for the large letter; if it did, basically all shipments would still be on the way.. Unfortunately I can’t reach the buyer.. What would happen if I just sent a refund..?! Would that close the case..? Then I’d rather just pay the few euros as a lesson instead of getting upset any further over such nonsense.. This has already been dragging on for over a week now.. And from what I’m reading here in the forum, some people seem extremely pleased with eBay’s approach.. Why are funds being held back and not paid out, even though the buyer has already left positive feedback..!?. eBay already has my ID card, tax ID, and heaven knows what else..
So.. Should I just waive the money for the buyer..? Would that speed up this drama..?

Mentor1 month agoHello @polymerah ,
great that you're sharing your post with us.
You received a message from us on August 10. There, the colleague told you what we still need. As soon as we have your information and can assess it as positive, your eBay account will be reactivated within 3 days. Please reply to the email with the information.
@bootyooty Thank you ❤
I wish you a nice day.
Best regards

OP1 month agoHey Anna.
Thanks for the quick reply.
In the message, three order numbers were mentioned for which there were still questions.. For two order numbers, there are already positive reviews and/ or "Delivered".. For the third order (ending in 993), the buyer unfortunately isn't getting back to me.. But everyone else has received their order, even though the postal tracking shows absolutely nothing at all.. So does that mean I "have bad luck" if I don't hear from the buyer..?
I had already replied to the email.. In general, I wouldn't have a problem with that if I could at least start more auctions in the meantime.. :(
Best wishes

Mentor1 month agoHello @polymerah ,
of course.
I don't see that you replied to the colleague's last message. Please follow up on that when you have time. The colleagues you're in contact with by email are from the specialist department and can remove your restriction.
Best wishes
Anna

I have now explicitly replied to the email in question again. Let’s hope that someone will take a concrete look at the case.

OP1 month ago · EditedHey @anna_s@ebay
Sorry for bothering you again, but with my move I’m really.. Uh.. marginally pissed off.. Not just because of the money, which I can’t cash out.. But also because of the fact that I can’t take most of my stuff with me because of lack of space..
So how exactly does this work with order number 14-14987-81619
The buyer received the package, that’s also noted in the system.. However, I can see in his profile that he basically never leaves feedback (1x negative, 1x positive in the last year).. But this exact order number is apparently causing problems.. Without a positive review from him, the amount from this sale will be withheld until mid-September, plus my account restrictions won’t be lifted..?! Regardless of the fact that I can’t cash out a single cent from ALL the other sales anyway..
I don’t really think that’s fair.. :(
Edit: I’ve now just contacted him personally and explained the situation.. He’s now left me positive feedback.. Now it’s still hanging on one lousy order worth €12.00..

Mentor1 month agoHey @polymerah well, everyone here has to verify themselves, whether newly registered or registered a long time ago.
The lovely @anna_s@ebay will take a look at that
polymerah
OP1 month agoThat’s absolutely understandable.. But the approach is already..... questionable..? There were still, among other things, 70 auctions running, which were simply ended despite bids.. And all of that absolutely without any warning..
Like I said, everything has been uploaded on my end and is crystal clear and fully traceable.. It would really be nice if someone would manually follow up here for once.. ;)
