Seller refused cancellation of a purchase
Summary: mietze_68 reports problems with an order that has been pending since June 1, 2026. Hello everyone,
I have now been waiting since 01.06.26 for the goods I ordered, and I had already wanted to cancel the purchase, but the seller rejected this.
After asking again today where my goods were, I got the somewhat strange reply that, due to the Iran war, the delivery date would have to be postponed by another 6 weeks or so.
For info: the manufacturer of the goods is in Germany, and the supplier is too.
So, what do I do now? The goods have already been paid for in full.

Thank you very much for your post.
The delivery date is shown as July 9-July 28. This means that from 29/07/2026 you can open a buyer protection case for an item not received.
Please do not close the case once you have opened it; your seller then has 3 business days to respond to this request. If they do not, you can involve us from the 4th business day.

OP3 weeks agothe seller is now also trying to palm off cheaper goods on me, which I could have ordered right away anyway, but I don't want at all. I then agreed to the 40 days and now I have to listen to the excuse about the Iran war? can that be it?

OP3 weeks agoI did try, but I was pointed out to that it supposedly should have been clear that the goods are only shipped 40 days after purchase - I didn't see it that way, I saw 8 days, but I also didn't print out the order, my mistake.

Mentor3 weeks agoIf the buyer protection on ebay really no longer applies, you can still go through the payment service provider. But don’t do this too hastily, because then ebay is completely out of the picture.
Wait and see whether Selina can do something for you.

Mentor3 weeks agoOh no, and if things go really badly now, your buyer protection on eBay has expired. You should never let yourself be put off for that long and should get in touch earlier.
