Approve rejected purchase cancellations after all as a seller
Summary: und-noch-anderes reports that they did not agree to a cancellation, but the buyer still hasn't paid and is no longer interested in the item. They now want to agree to the cancellation, but are running into technical difficulties on the platform. perfect-sally explains that after a rejection, no cancellation can be made unless this has been fixed by the platform. und-noch-anderes thanks them and decides to wait and see what happens next.
Hello,
I’m a private seller. An item was bought with a price suggestion. Then the buyer requested a cancellation of the purchase. But I declined it.
Up until now (4 days after the purchase), the buyer still hasn’t paid and now I’d like to agree to the cancellation after all. How can I do that?
Every time I click cancel purchase, I get a message that a cancellation already exists. But because of my first rejection, the cancellation hasn’t actually been completed.
How can the purchase now be cancelled after all? The buyer definitely has no more interest in the item.
Thanks for helpful comments.

Mentor3 weeks agoThat doesn't work anymore now. But if you also declined, you can no longer cancel the purchase either, provided eBay hasn't finally fixed it.

Mentor3 weeks agoHi @und-noch-anderes
even if you didn’t agree to a purchase cancellation, you should be able to report an unpaid item after the deadline has passed.
Then the purchase is done too, and the buyer gets a negative mark in their account.
Best regards from the Baltic Sea
