Hermes ParcelShop address - can't send?
Summary: evelyn_weber is wondering why he can't send the seller on eBay the address of a Hermes parcel shop and his email address, since this violates the community guidelines. perfect-sally explains that eBay no longer supports shipping to Hermes shops and the seller is not allowed to deliver to any address other than the one specified on eBay.
Dear all,
I bought an item and am wondering why I’m not allowed to send the seller the address of the Hermes ParcelShop (violation of community/communication guidelines, the usual stuff).
The purchase has already been completed correctly via eBay - it’s only about the shipping details now.
Clearing cookies doesn’t help either.
I don’t want to contact the seller outside of eBay.
For it to be delivered to the Hermes ParcelShop, Hermes then needs my email address.
I’m not allowed to send either the ParcelShop address or my email address (which Hermes then needs).
That doesn’t make sense to me.
Does anyone know anything about this and how I can still make it work?
Kind regards and many thanks!

Mentor2 weeks agoWell, eBay doesn’t really like addresses and data being sent.
And on top of that, on eBay shipping to Hermes shops is no longer offered and no longer supported (from the seller side, they can’t offer it as a shipping method anymore).
If you want a Hermes delivery to a Hermes shop, then the delivery address has to be entered on eBay; as for a different address than the one on eBay, the seller is not allowed to ship there at all.

OP2 weeks agoDear Sally,
thank you very much for your reply.
I had just thought, it’s practical for the seller, he saved a bit on postage, and for me as a buyer it’s more convenient because I have the shop right nearby and don’t have to wait for hours for the courier to ring the bell.
Background:
I do live in the city center, but at the end of the route. As a result, I sometimes get notifications for days in a row, but before he reaches my address, he’s already done for the day - waiting in vain for up to four days for a package ties up, in my opinion ;), too much time.
PaketShop, on the other hand, was always there exactly on the day and has worked great in the past.
But then I know what's what.
Many thanks, best regards and
have a sunny weekend!
