Refused acceptance - package is being returned - return postage €10.00
Hello !
I sold an item to Poland - shipping costs of around €18.00 - the buyer apparently refused the parcel and the package came back to me via DHL. I had to pay €10.00 return shipping costs to DHL. So far, the item has not been canceled. But who is responsible for the shipping costs to Poland and, on the other hand, the return shipping costs due to refusal of acceptance? Can someone give me some information
Best regards, Maria

If you cancel the purchase, a full refund must be made.
What does the buyer say about it?

OPSep 8, 2026 at 4:59 PMI’m a commercial seller, but I still don’t know my way around all that well. I contacted the buyer and told him that the package was returned to me because he refused delivery and that I had to pay €10.00 return postage. He hasn’t replied yet. But I also don’t want to resend it and, on top of the €18 shipping costs already paid, pay another €18 postage plus €10.00 return postage, only for everything to possibly come back again. I’d rather cancel the purchase and be stuck with my costs.
