Listing fee
Why do I, as a private seller, have to pay a listing fee? EBay advertises listings as free of costs and fees.

OP5 days agoI listed my sales item free of charge. I didn’t use any additional options.

then take a look under "Payments - All Transactions". There it’s recorded whether, and which, fees were charged to you.

Mentor5 days agoSet to no fees does not mean that it can also be sold with no fees if you have, for example, promoted your item!
The promotion function is not an add-on option in the sense that fees are charged when listing, but rather with
Premium - fees per click
Basic - fees upon sale
In both cases, you have the option to set in advance how much fees should be charged.

If you use additional options when listing, that costs money. Promoting your items naturally costs money too.
