Hello eBay community,
this listing of mine was deleted due to an alleged violation of the "policy on media harmful to minors":
"Steelbook EMPTY for collectors:THE FLY 2 The Fly2 NO film,NO medium,NO disc"
Even after my more than justified appeal, since the listing title clearly implies that "NO medium" is being sold, the item was not reinstated!
If they no longer read appeals - is it all just AI now?

Mentor1 month agoDoes the Steelbook say FSK or USK 18 anywhere? Then it will be treated like the medium itself and the problem is self-inflicted.
List it in a way that complies with eBay, as long as the item is allowed to be offered at all, and that’s it.

OP1 month agoEven if the age rating is on the packaging, this only applies to the discs, the content. The FSK does not rate packaging.

OP1 month agoNot very constructive to portray others as know-it-alls just because they're new? (It's simply a fact that the FSK watches films and not packaging, and that's not something I made up - nor my opinion)
eBay deleted the item because of a MEDIUM, which I didn't offer at all.

Mentor1 month agoWe’re not at a FSK review board here, but on eBay, and if the host doesn’t want that on his platform, then that’s just how it is.
As I said, eBay has legal notice where you can find contact options.

OP1 month agoThen I ask you for the eBay link to this/your (mysterious) rule that says "the host doesn't want that on his platform" because anything that's not laid down as a rule can't be enforced either.

take a look here, after that the following items are also affected:
Prohibited
Media carriers that the Federal Agency for the Protection of Children and Young People in the Media (BzKJ) has indexed
Media that are wholly or substantially identical in content to indexed media
Advertising for indexed media (especially merchandising items, such as T-shirts, posters or stickers), even if the advertising itself is not harmful to minors
Maybe Ebay also considers a DVD case to be advertising.
