Item ordered, returned, eBay closed the case, I am not receiving a refund | Members help members

Hello, maybe someone can help me. I ordered shoes from America, unfortunately they didn't fit. I initiated a return and sent the package back at my own expense, to the address given by Ebay. I was supposed to receive an email where I should submit my proof for the package, but this email never came. After a certain period of time, Ebay simply closed the case. I filed an appeal and attached the proof for the package. But Ebay won't budge. The bot keeps rejecting my request over and over again. The seller says I have to contact Ebay. I ordered shoes for $240,39 and sent the package back at my own expense. I at least expect to get part of the amount back.
