Item won at auction, reserve price reached, but seller still doesn't want to hand it over
Hello, I have just won a boat at auction. The reserve price was set by the seller. I bid that amount and won the auction. Now the seller does not want to sell it for that price and claims to have stated a reserve price of not 4500 euros but 5500 euros and does not want to hand it over at the auction price, which, as I said, met the reserve price. Do I now need to go to a lawyer? Many thanks for any assessment

Whether the reserve price function was actually set up is unfortunately not something we can determine. The fact is, you were the only bidder, but if the seller immediately informed you of an "error" and invokes § 119 BGB, there’s not much to argue against that.
eBay is not responsible for enforcing purchase contracts; everyone is free to pursue their item through civil law.
