Item purchased, paid for, eBay says: "You haven't paid for your purchase", "If this happens again, you will be excluded from bidding on eBay."

Bought an item, paid for it, had it sent to me, and now I’m getting the message from eBay: "You have not paid for your purchase", "Should this happen again, you will be excluded from bidding on eBay." I paid via PayPal and have proof of it; the seller does agree with me... but: how is this supposed to be clarified?

·Sep 14, 2026 at 2:35 PM@pittiplatssh I looked into the purchase for you and the checkout process was not completed through our system. Therefore the purchase was then canceled and you got the message you mentioned. It is therefore important to know exactly how the payment was made.

Paid with Paypal, it says among other things: "Order overview mixed lot of various Märklin HO tracks + transformer - hobbyist item VV7299 product ID: 407173088757"
Don't remember anymore how I paid - I click pay and follow the instructions until PayPal reports "paid" and the purchase process is complete.

if you clicked on Paypal in the order, the order should show as paid if the Paypal payment went through. You should be able to see that in your orders.

if you pay via eBay, eBay will be listed as the recipient in the transaction overview in your Paypal account, as well as the order number
the listing title and item number are not directly visible on the invoice in Paypal
