Item defective after 3 months, seller is burying their head in the sand! | Members help members

I bought a cable reel on 3/11/2025. https://www.ebay.de/itm/177449030134It then sat around for a while before being put into use. Now the rewind lock is broken and the cable no longer holds and keeps retracting back into the reel. You can't work with it like that. 1 day later the thing also stopped making any electrical response at all. Then on 13/02/2026, so 5 days ago, I contacted the seller and asked them to please make use of the still valid warranty. Nevertheless, I still haven't received any response from the seller to this day. They will probably be sticking their head in the sand because they are far away from Germany .... What else can I do?
