Item defective after a short time, seller unavailable
Hello. We bought an item that became defective after a short time. We haven’t been able to reach the seller for months. What should we do?
The seller is selling the item with a 12-month warranty.
There is no way at all to report the purchase to eBay.
Unfortunately, the help page also doesn’t lead to a solution.

Mentor2 weeks agoHello @akracing47_com The warranty lies with the seller; moreover, you are registered as a business with this account yourself, so potentially different deadlines and provisions may apply than consumer rights for private customers.
Just name the item number, the date of purchase, and then an eBay employee can maybe take a closer look at it.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedFirst you write "after a short time" and then "have not been able to reach for months". So which is it? When exactly was it bought?
Sellers do not give warranties; only manufacturers do that. eBay is out of it after the 30-day buyer protection period and is not responsible for your consumer rights.
If payment was made with PayPal and fewer than 180 days have passed since the purchase, you can try opening a dispute there.
