Item return - after refund of the purchase price by eBay?
Hello,
I have a question:
Case: Item arrived damaged and did not match the item description. Seller (company) refused to provide a return label or postage code. I opened a case after three days. eBay decided in my favor and arranged a full refund of the purchase price.
Question: What do I do now with the item, in this case a CD? I still have it, after all.

OP1 month agoYou probably mean 2026? So keep it for 4 months and if the seller doesn’t get back to me with a return label or code, then I can keep it?

Mentor1 month agoNo, I mean 2029! That’s how long the retention period runs, and during that time the seller can still assert their claim.

Mentor1 month agoAsk the seller! If he wants the item back, he has to pay the shipping costs to you in advance.
If he doesn’t get in touch, you may keep the item until 31.12.2029 for now and then do whatever you want with it.
