Item returned to me because the recipient refused to accept it
Summary: frau_feix is selling a game that was returned to her because Hermes failed to deliver it, although the buyer says they were at home. She asks the community for advice on how she should reach Hermes and proceed, especially regarding the shipping fees. perfect-sally recommends contacting Hermes and looking for the contact details in the legal notice, but expresses doubts about whether the buyer was actually at home.
Hello community,
I’m a bit at a loss now. Here’s what happened:
I sold a game and sent it to the buyer with Hermes. A few days ago, the buyer contacted me because after 3 failed delivery attempts, Hermes sent the game back to me. The buyer is now pretty desperate because he was home the whole time, but still apparently not fast enough at his door. How can I reach Hermes now? In the purchase process, the item is now marked as delivered and the case is closed for Hermes.
So how does this work at eBay now? Do I have to create and pay for another shipping label? Or does the buyer have to pay the shipping fees again? If so, how and where?
Honestly, this has never happened to me before.
Maybe you have a tip on how I should handle this?
Regards
Frau_Feix

Mentor1 week agoHello @frau_feix ,
you can contact hermes online and maybe also call them.
I’d really kick up a fuss there.

Mentor1 week agoYour contact person is Hermes. But do you know for sure that the buyer was really at home, or is he just using that as an excuse?
And like all companies, Hermes also has an imprint where you can find contact options. We’re not allowed to post that here.
